John joined the firm in 1988, after six years as Senior Vice President of Investments at Maine National Bank, with responsibility for the investments of the Trust Department. In addition, John worked for more than thirteen years as Senior Vice President of Merchants National Bank, managing overall investment functions at its offices in Bangor, Maine. John began his career with National Shawmut Bank in Boston, where he worked for six years as an investment research analyst.
John is Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager and Investment Consultant for Acadia Trust, N.A.
John, a graduate of Middlebury College, is a Financial Analyst and CFA charterholder. He is a native of South Paris, Maine.
